For sure about the gluten...I tried to add gluten back into my diet (but only organic) omg I am still sick weeks later. My throat is still a little closed:(

Where are all the pantry pics???
I started poking around the thread again, looking for inspiration :)
i refuse to step on a scale, it's still too much for me. I do however keep track through my Dr. and those once-every-3-months weighings. I find those are far more encouraging for me than the little ups and downs of more frequent weighings.
i read the article, and this line made me a little mad.
"That's so people don't get too full too fast, and stop eating too soon. "If the taste builds too much, consumption will stop … and snacks need to be eaten non-stop until the packet is finished," Thorton Mustard wrote, back in 2002."
i don't trust processed food companies anyways :P
Patty, you make your yard look amazing, you cook for half and army, you weave your magic while shopping, you still have time to gab with a bunch of sc'ers... AND you have time to take pics and post them.
always in awe :)
Ok pantry time, I have one downstairs and one upstairs, I have a lot of stuff that I still need for when I do lunches for DS's school. Other than that kind of boring. Of course my dad has his junk shelves lol
As you can see in my spice shelf I am running out of my homemade ones, can't wait for onion and pepper season :)
Just looking at my pantry I think I better throw out that sunflower oil. It must be rancid by now I haven't touched it in over a year :(
Love your jar collection...tomato sauce?
I would love to do that but I am sooo scared!!
Patty I am jealous of your maple syrup in a can. That just doesn't happen in Alberta!! I was born in Ontario and have fond memories of maple syrup in the big tins.I find most people here think Aunt Jemima and Mrs Butterworth is the real thing!!
- 2.2 yay!
I feel the same way WOB. I was thinking summer would be easier, but I have now put back on what I have lost on my journey with you all. Time to dig in my heels again. I was talking to my mom about it, she said she went through a phase like I am going through, where you are trying to control everything as newer parent. Trying REALLY hard to do all the right things for your children, that you let an area slide for your own sanity (for both pressure and room to fail and be normal). Right now that area for me is food.
Like Anisa, I need to take a break from the scale to decrease the pressure on myself. I have to focus on healthy choices rather than a number (one I keep watching go up). I need to tell myself it is for my future. I know three people who had heart issues this past week. Time for another change.
