oh my! just realized that my hubby has an ipod in a drawer not being used since he upgraded his phone that now does "everything" except the wifely duties (you know, childcare, dishes, laundry.....) anywhoooo I'm taking the plunge, and am going to learn how to use this sucker so that I can get checkout51. Fingers crossed and hopefully no middle fingers extended or hammers taken to technology :S

I had the most AMAZING mail day today!
I got one of the FPCs from the Kelloggs Snacks promo, along with the Butterball Bacon FPC, but they DO NOT COMPARE to the AMAZING CARD I got!

PHEW!!! All caught up!!

Today was a great day. I had the day off because my boss on Friday said, "You've been doing a great job at work, I'm giving you a paid day off on Tuesday!" I was super happy!!! so I spent the whole day catching up on smart canucks and typing out my coupon list for trading. I've been having a really hard time on VWT's lately so I thought maybe I'd put out a trade list to see if that would help some of my trading. otherwise, I only have package trains to look forward to! =)

my sister was not feeling well today so while I did all my couponing, I watched the entire 5 hour BBC version of Pride and Prejudice. It was a glorious Movie Marathon. If you like shows like Downton Abby this is a MUST MUST SEE. it is so good!!!




good for you! I always think these parking spots should be for moms with young babies and kids and not just expectant mothers. afterall, it is moms with their little kids that need to be close to the door too!



more travelling for pumpkin and more days without pumpkin here on SC. =) I am planning some travels in may too. looking for something for about $500 a person for my bf and I. any suggestions? we were thinking vegas?

What is Pancake Tuesday all about? I don't get it...

Pancake Tuesday is a day where you eat pancakes for dinner! it's really big in England, they even hold pancake races (where you have a pancake in a pan, you have to flip it & run to the finish line & flip it again).

It really stems from the Christian religion (though my family isn't religious so I don't know all the details), its always on Shrove Tuesday which I think is the day before Lent. So it's something do with using up all the fat & sugar that you are not supposed to eat. Hmmmm....I think that's right, I guess you could always google it.

Morning! Have one sick kid still... she's still spewing so keeping her home today. The older one is off to school, she stayed home yesterday afternoon, her Gr.11 law class went to our local court yesterday and saw part of the Amber Kirwan murder preliminary trial. The boyfriend (who I think is involved in the murder of Amber and also the murder of my nephew in law) was on the stand as well as one of Ambers friends. Erica found it very emotional and was crying when she got home at lunch time. She said it is one thing to read about these things in the newspaper and see it on the news but when you see the family there and her friend breaking down on the stand it was way to close to home. I don't know how her parents will sit through this all (I worked with her dad when I built tires), they are such nice people and never deserved to have this tragedy in their lives. Also almost being the same age as Amber was makes it scary too.

Anyways... she is feeling better today and just needed sometime to process. I spoke to the law teacher and told her about the reaction and she apologized... apparently she got a few calls from parents about the 'deepness' of the subject.

I am off for a nap, nightshift tonight.... or I might just veg in my chair again.

Jody got the one I sent yesterday & dlee's buddy's DD (I forgot who you were) got one last week. So they should be coming. The website said they should get before or by Valentines day, so fingers crossed. I sent one to my MIL from DD & I haven't heard from her yet, but if they screwed up & put anonymous she would know to let me know.

Yep - everyone has been receiving them this week (and late last? ) it seems. I didn't send any, but it sounds based on Julia's experience that they may have messed up the "from" names.
