So the last couple weeks ive been trading like crazy to get my hands on gillette and olay coupons as im in the midst of collecting a nice size donation for a local shelter/food bank for the end of may as my birthday falls at the end of the month and this year I want to give back (now that I can thanks to couponing). Happened to see the ziploc deal for the 50 count bags and thought to myself amazing more things I can get for free to add to the donation stock closet!
I called my local Walmart and asked to speak with the store manager, we had about a 30 minute conversation about what I was doing and I asked if I could get 60 boxes of ziploc and a bunch of the travel sizes in gillette and olay. She was an amazing woman and was more than happy to help as they were expecting a huge shipment due to the upcoming sale she said she would call when my order was in. Last night I got the call she said when I got there to go to customer service and everything would be ready for me. Got there put everything in my cart and thinking I knew what my overage was ventured into the store to grab items we needed and i had coupons for to use my overage up as ive never tested the WM pays you the overage policy. I got the 43.09 I thought was my overage and off to the checkout I went.
The cashier was amazing and the manager on duty was superb (not the one I spoke with) so she rang everything in and then put through all my coupons and hit total -29 something I was in shock I figured I would have been close to 0.00 or a little over that I would have to pay ... then I noticed my toilet paper was under my buggy rang that in grabbed some skittles and two push pops for the kids then she hit total for the last time -18.05 they handed to me in cash!
I got 146 items (bill says 148 but I count 146 on the bill and in my house weird lol) total retail cost 320.00+ (dont know reg price of some of the sale items) FREE and they paid me 18.05 to take it!
I have never felt more accomplished and now have a great addition to my donation stock less than a month to go and I think I am going to have a great first donation which would not have been possible without this community, the wonderful people who have traded with me in the past two weeks, my family for going on recycle walks in their neighborhoods to collect inserts, my mom for getting the left over inserts from her work after the papers are done selling the list could go on! You are all amazing!

Mine too to be honest I got all red and a little nervous as I thought I had figured out my overage correctly and made sure I got enough other stuff to bring my total above overage or so i thought ... the cashier wasnt sure about the overage being paid to me so she had called the manager over i handed her the policy i have printed in my binder she smiled and said pay the lady her change and my youngest daughter the whole time we were packing up our bags kept saying my moms a coupon lady shes so cool (shes 6 and makes me mail with the expired coupons I give her and she pretends our mailslot clangs and says mommy you have mail it is way too cute) Thanks so much none of it would have been possible without this site, all the other sc's knowledge and the amazing people I have formed bonds with and trade frequently with!

Yes it was a WM in the GTA I had to travel a bit as my WM (dufferin) SUCKS their shelves are always bare and its not because of couponers I went there for soup one time none on the shelf I asked the stock boy to scan it and tell me if they had any in the back ... nope and then he says but we have an order coming in .... wait for it ..... for 24 cans .... I looked at him and laughed out of frustration probably I said are you kidding me .... do you realize how many people come to this walmart as there are very few WM's in the GTA I said if 6 people buy 4 cans each its gone again I said I think you need to start ordering more product to go with the amount of people who live in this freakin city and walked away lol so i sucked it up and took the hour + ttc ride to go to another walmart

Im sure they will go to good use at the food bank/shelter ... I have a good year supply from when the 100 count was on at NF's 2 for 4.00 and just paid the taxes on them so these are all for donation ... i def took note from extreme couponing on tlc to call the store to see about ordering when making a big purchase i hate when I go to a store even when im not couponing to get something and the shelf is empty i never clear shelves and dont understand why people do if you are not willing to call ahead and ask then only take a couple so others can get the deals i can see if it is the last two on a shelf then that is a different case but when people fill their buggies like some of them on TLC's show it irks me cause I know how I feel when I go and the shelf is cleared out ... most stores are willing to work with you heck they are making the money on you buying it coupons or not so why wouldnt they?

Which WM did you go to then? I'm a little reluctant to use greater-than-product's value coupons.
