My friend and I were out yard saling this morning so we stopped at a few Mac's stores for our 5 cent Coke. Here's how it went:
1st store we paid 6 cents (1 cent tax)
2nd store, when she scanned the coupon the receipt came out as zero. She said "It says zero so it's free, here ya go".
3rd store we paid 11 cents. I think they charged tax on the full price.
4th store 6 cents.
I prefer regular Coke, my friend only drinks Diet Coke. First store said it's only good for regular (Yay for me, I got his too) Second store only had regular Coke left. Score for me again, my friend isn't too happy though. 3rd store only had Diet, my friend is finally happy! Last store had lots of both but the coupon wouldn't scan when the Diet Coke was entered but she told him just take it anyways and she'll scan a regular one. Got home and between my 3 kids and my carpenter, the Coke is gone already

Don't you pay 10 cent bottle deposits, or is that just AB?

I forget. lol I handed over a toonie and didn't even pay attention to total or the change... but I think $0.17 total... 10 deposit... Alberta has a fee.. 2 cents?! then 5 for the actual tiny pop... silly, the promo was all hype about the beginning and how it was $0.05... what size was the bottle tho!? 414ml?!

I went to 2 Mac's and both had none left and it was only 11 am. They said Coke only gave them one box. That isn't right when it's Coke they are advertising for. I was a bit upset.

my Macs had tons left, and had NO IDEA what to do with the coupon. I ended up getting it for nothing because they couldn't figure out how to get it in the computer.

We paid 5 cents here in Longueuil. I too was surprised, thought we would have had to at least pay taxes. But yayyyy 5 cent coca-cola woohoo. As for only regular coke, I picked up coke zero and my husband bought regular, no problems.
