I am in need of a Newer Desk Top Computer..... mine is pretty old... hence very slow....
I notice that Staples has one on sale Refurbished for $179.98 is that a good price?
And what are the pro/cons of buying a USED computer?
Any help/advice would be much appreciated.... Thanks.

warranty would be the main problem with buying a refurbished device!

Nothing wrong with a refurbished one....but make sure you are getting a warranty with it. Have purchased from Staples in the past and no problems with them.

I don't know about those specs, but we bought a refurbished HP at Future Shop on boxing day - maybe five or six years ago? - and it's never given us any trouble at all.

Omg.... Good to know.
That's what worries me, that come 13 months from now it won't work.
But if I can get a few years out of it then that would be great.
