Need some tools for the kitchen to make my own stuff

Stovetop with the oil works, but be VERY careful. House fires often get started when cooking oil on the stove is left unattended (not saying any of you would do that, just something to be very aware of). I definitely wouldn't do this in a house with kids in it, too easy to get burned.

Yup, I do them on the stove from time to time. I haven't thought of using a cover...how brilliant LOL...will save me lots of "cleaning" time...So at this point--no deep fryer! Thanks for all the feedback!
