Thread: where do i start? please help!

i'm sure this has been posted a million times before but i'm not sure how to navigate this site to find answers.
i am very new to clipping coupons and i have some questions.
please, if anyone can help answer any of them, i'd appreciate it.
i saw a show called extreme couping and it made want to get savings like they do.
is that even possible in canada?
i don't want 100 bottles of pop or 35 tubes of toothpaste, i just want enough for what we need.
we are on a very tight budget and it would really help if we could cut down our grocery bills every month.
i use coupons, but i can never seem to save more than 2 dollars in a trip.
are there tips that can help me save more?
where i live, the coupons often say one coupon per purchase, so i am limited to getting only one of the item with a savings.
i am a member on save.ca and p&gbrandsaver and one or two other sites.
i'm in nova scotia so i wonder where else can i get relevant coupons?
is it possible to shave even 25 dollars off a 200 dollar grocery bill?
i need major advice and direction here, please can you help me?
thanks. This thread is currently associated with: Save.ca Coupons

Hi

Just so you know, one of the big things on the show "Extreme Couponing" is the fact that in the US a lot of stores will double coupons. Unfortunately, in Canada that's not the case (although Pharmasave does occassionally have specials at select stores). But you can still save here A LOT!
If you go into the forum subsection "Discuss and request deals and coupon" you'll see a bunch of threads titled "21 Things to Be An Epic Couponer" which has info for people who are new to couponing. Read through the threads as a wealth of information there.
Best advice (after reading above mentioned threads)is to know your coupon terminolgy (a "purchase" is one item so you can use one coupon for each item etc) and also to know the stores coupon policies (and have a print out for cashiers who may not know them!).
Have fun
