After all the questions whether St Albert Walmart is starting to stack or not I thought I would get to the bottom of it.
I called there a few days ago and asked if they had started stacking coupons and without hesitation she said yes they are stacking now.
Then today I thought I would call one more time before "testing" it out and asked specifically for the store manager. He answered and I asked if it were true that they were now stacking coupons and told him I had planned on coming in tonight and wanted to make sure before I made the drive.
I explained that I would be using two coupons on one products and he said yes, yes, that is fine. I then proceded to ask if there was a specific cashier I should checkout with or if they were all trained. He said to go to any cashier and if there was a problem to get them to page him directly and he would come and get it done. WOW, I thought that was pretty awesome.
Soooo, I drove 45 mintues to the St Albert Walmart to try it out BUT before I even started shopping I thought I would have the manager paged and have a chat just to make sure we were on the same level. I once again explained using 2 coupons on 1 product and he looked at me a little puzzled. So I pulled out an example of what I wanted to do and then he says to me, OH, no, we can't do that, they only do that in the States!
I corrected him right away on that and said our awesome Canadian store LD does!
Anyway, he then went on to explain by stacking he thought that meant to buy 5 of the same item and use 5 of the same coupon on each. Example: buy 5 adidas deoderant and use 5 of the $2 coupons in the same purchase. They used to follow the 'one coupon per purchase' policy meaning only one of the same item in one transaction and now they are starting to allow 5 to 6 of the same items and coupons in one transaction.
Sheesh, what a waste of time, but I am glad I got to the bottom of it so the wondering can stop LOL
Oh well, still super excited that Save On in the Hamptons is stacking now! I've done it three times with no problems at all (even with ones that same cannot be combined). This thread is currently associated with: London Drugs, WalmartLast edited by joybellswj; Fri, May 13th, 2011 at 10:39 PM.

Thanks for doing this. I had started the original thread and I did post lateron that I had received an answer from Walmart stating that they do not allow stacking. This is great though and takes any doubt out of it all. I am very suprised though that they don't know what stacking is.

I'd like to know more about stacking at Save-On. What coupons did they accept or not accept? I found this post http://www.frugaledmontonmama.com/20...-stacking.html which is informative but I am still nervous to do so. What did you successfully stack so far?
I'm no longer couponing and my dogs have passed away. I can't figure out how to delete my profile. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I'm hoping as coupons really start to take off Wal Mart will catch on and start stacking. Right now I'm perfectly happy giving my business to london drugs but they don't carry enough product.

I have used the smuckers syrup and had three different coupons all from the same "media" source. All come off the shelf. No internet or magazine etc. They said cannot be combined but I had no issue using them at all.
I have gone several times using these ones.
I am also going to use coupons for Mayo on Sunday and for pickles on Sunday. That one may be interesting as the pickle ones look similiar but have different upc codes so I will keep you updated.
I'll scan and post my receipt on Sunday so everyone can see it

Right now you can only "stack" at London Drugs and at Save on Foods.
It is when you have two or more coupons for the same products and use them together for 1 item. Example: The coupons I just used at Save On were for smuckers syrup and I had one that was $1 off UPC ending in 0698, then one for $1 with UPC ending in 5761, and one for $0.75 with UPC ending in 9911. So because they were all for smuckers syrup and all different upc codes, I was able to put them together (stack) and use them for 1 syrup. The syrup was $3.50 and I gave them $2.75 in coupons for the one syrup so I only paid $0.75.
I had three "stacks" so I got 3 syrup for $0.75 each.
Of course they have to be for the exact item, they cannot be expired and they need to be a manufacturer coupon and Canadian as well.
There are some other policies that need to be followed - for example: the new London Drugs rules are that you cannot use a coupon that has the wording 'cannot be combined with any other offer/coupon'. You can only use an internet printed coupon up to a value of $3 in one shopping transaction.
As noted by another SC, I believe the north side LD is not stacking anymore but I am not 100% sure on that. You can always call the location you are going to and make sure before you waste your time.
Before I went to the Hamptons Save On, I called and confirmed with the Customer Service desk first and then I had no troubles at checkout.
Hope that answers your question on stacking. There is a forum of some sort on the stores coupon policies but I know for sure that London Drugs and some Save On are stacking right now.

I thought that they maybe were unsure of what the term 'stacking' really meant. I figure with all the recent changes to their coupon policies they are a bit confused. Sorry u had to go all that way for them to give you the no, thats really ridiculous that they dont even know what that term means.
