so i've received my invoice and they've increased the telephone & internet! meanwhile, i've renewed this promo rate with them some time in the fall last year. spent 10 mins waiting to speak to a rep. told her they had increased by bill when i was supposed to pay an X amount. asked her to put me through client relations, & she wouldn't until i said i was going to cancel!

What they are charging for cable/Internet is INSANE. Shaw is worse I think and I KNOW Sasktel is!!! What do you pay and for how many channels etc? My bill is $140.00 for cable phone internet and I dont even get all the stations and they screw you every time they can...:{

last month my bill went up $8 from the previous bill.. the invoice that we just got went up another $15 from that amount, so in two months they raised the price $23... umm - no... i went through the same rigmarole that i always go through with them through the live chat... "i'm so sorry to hear about this problem" she kept telling me.. pfft, no you're not.. she told me that she was going to give me a phone number to call because she couldn't help with with my problem, i told her that i already had the phone number for customer retention on my fridge.. you know what she had the nerve to tell me? that bell doesn't have a direct telephone number to customer retention! BS!!! i've called it many times and i don't know why i didn't just call directly again this time! so i told her thanks for nothing and called the "non-existent" phone number and got my problem corrected..... again...
at least i was speaking to someone from canada when i called the retention phone number.. can't really say the same when i was chatting to "joanne" ... pfft, you could practically hear the accent through her typing.. we're currently searching for a new provider of home telephone and internet... any ideas?

Bell sucks. I have them too and hate dealing with them but whatever you do, don't switch to Vonnage. I am sure lots of people use them with no issues but we tried switching from Bell to Vonnage a few years ago and what a nightmare. We were over 2 months without any home service; luckily we had a cell. Vonnage service is through the internet, they sent us a service box (modem or router I guess?? I am not very techy) it arrived broke, we sent that one back they sent another..still no service. My DH was on the phone with them every day. After 2+ months of frustration we told them to take a flying leap and sent the second box thingy back. Then we got a bill on our VISA (you have to give them a VISA # up front) for $800.00+ for the 2 boxes but luckily we sent everything back with tracking numbers, etc so we were able to prove the items were returned. So in the end we still ended up paying $100.00--I don't remember what that was for i.e. 2 months of service we didn't have, breaking contract, etc) It was so bad I contacted the BBB. This was a few years ago and their service may have improved but they are worse than Bell IMO. We ended up going back to Bell.

I have talked to other people with these same issues. Shaw is OK in one sense SUCKS in another. I will be leaving Shaw soon if I can get a good deal elsewhere. Too many contradictory answers??? Honestly I dont think there is a reliable service provider..

yeah i heard something about emails having gone out about price increasing. I'm not a bell customer, but I heard they have some new unlimited internet plan if you add 10$ extra. you should inquire about that because it may decrease your bill and increase your data allowance.
Must have a U.S. itunes account to choose a free product on Poshmark: New Accounts Only:
1) Download the app called Poshmark 2) While creating a new account, enter the invite code: JAAZH (it will be the last box to fill) 3) $10 in credit will added to your account (Shipping is $0.99 during your first day on the app!) Pick a product that is $9.00 or less and your total will be:$0.00

Prices did go up this year. We have home phone with long distance and the basic internet plan (whatever the 25GB month). Our bill went up $5. We pay not quite $70/month for our service, plus get the Bell internet security suite.
The unlimited internet is only $10 more if you have Bell phone, internet, and cable/satellite.
Otherwise, it's $30 a month.

Sorry OP, I wonder why Bell keeps aggravating their loyal customers? We shall soon be extinct at the rate they are going. For now we are " safe " for 2013.........saw their little trick increase on my Feb bill, slide it onto my bill like I won't notice.
Called and they removed it for the whole year.

I can't profess to understand God's plan. Christ promised the resurrection of the dead. I just thought he had something a little different in mind.

Honestly, it's because they can. Rogers and Bell are probably equally hated, and I've heard horror stories on both ends. The telecommunications industry in Canada is a joke - there is simply not enough competition. And so the big companies, like Bell can pretty much do whatever they want, and the customer has very few viable alternatives.

Called Bell yesterday and they lowered my monthly bill (phone, tv, internet) by $40.00.

Rogers and Bell bought shares in Maple Leaf Sports Entertainment-maybe the rate increases are to help with the financing.
However, have you noticed what is being charged for last call return and the like (by Bell)? Over $2 a time! Ouch.
The thing that gets me is my sibling considering going back to Bell for Internet-err, that was problematic when we DID have their Internet service.2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.
