Yahoo!!! Imagine what life was like for your kin-folk back in the days of 1 room houses and 8 kids and no TV or internet!!!

My mom said they always had a blast growing up - with nine kids in the family there was always someone to play with, always something to do - they did listen to the radio!

One of my uncles had 15 kids. My cousin said she liked coming from a large family. If she was mad at one there was always another to play with.

Cool, Crochetlady - one of my friends from highschool had 15 in her family.
My husband was one of 11, all pretty close in age.

With us, there were six, but we first five are about three to four years apart, so not all of us kinda grew up together - then my younger brother is 10 years younger than me.
So I pretty much just played with the sister three years older than me - and we fought most of the time, lol.

The biggest family we know of now is one with seven kids. Some of my husband's siblings and other friends of ours have five.

If I met someone and they wanted kids, would love to have more kids one day. My three are very close and even though they fight, they are the best of friends, and I think that being so close has helped them so much developmentally and socially.

Growing up it was just me and my brother, and there is 4 years between us. I spent a lot of time away from the house growing up, and he spent a lot of his time at the house, and the differences between us because of those two things is amazing....like night and day.
