I did my 1st recycling walk tonight

After seeing all the posts from lucky SCers finding the cereal box coupons and other free goodies, I decided to try my luck since tomorrow is recycling day.

It was pretty uneventful. An hour of walking and checking recycling bins produced one Smartsource insert and two 50% off salad coupons from McDonalds. Still better than nothing, but I was hoping to score some free ice cream or waffles

Oh, and the ironic thing was that all the coupons I found were from my next door neighbor's recycling bin.

Maybe next time will be better. Good for you for trying though. I have never done the recycling walk but I'm always glancing when I walk by a bin (pretending I'm looking at something across the street!!!).

Talk to your neighbor and ask them if they will save the coupons for you then you donèt risk missing something.

I have been doing recycle walks for a few months now and have come to know that some weeks are better than others. Just perservere at it and eventually good stuff will come to you.
