I absolutely love the santas choice hamper program. Its giant food hampers and merchandise you put money towards all year til around November and then it gets shipped right to your door! I tried it for the first time last year and it was amazing! You get to put super small payments towards it which is awesome cuz then you dont have to spend a bunch of money around christmas time, and you save so much time not going to the busy grocery stores!

Oh and its all name brand products, and you can order all your meats and frozen foods, and they have summer packages to. I mean who can afford spending 600 on their grocery bill around christmas? Nobody, thats why making payments is so cool. I hardly even notice the money leave my account then right before christmas I get a huge stock pile!

I ordered the catalog about a month ago as I saw it on Facebook. Personally I find the prices high
and With coupons can get better deals. It is appealing I guess for those that are short on time.

Ya its not so much the savings that are awesome its the fact that you can sort of put away small amounts weekly, bi weekly or monthly rather than drop a huge amount of money right by christmas. Its just like anything else you make payments on. For people who cant afford to spend 3000 on new furniture they usually finance it through a furniture place. The same goes for this, if you cant afford to pay a ton of money for groceries at once this is perfect.

Just put the money in a drawer each week and then buy the nonperishables a month before Christmas -- it will cost less.

That's wonderful if it works best that way for you. Personally, I save all my *other money* eg. everything from checkout 51 to optimum points, and everything in between all year and use specifically closer to Christmas. This past Christmas i was able to purchase a large turkey, ham, potatoes, all the fixings, breakfast items such as bacon, sausage, eggs, real maple syrup etc, flour etc for baking and more, for a completely free Christmas dinner and breakfast for my family and our guests..and did all my baking, cookies, pies, tarts etc free This is all in addition to all my other groceries and special snacks, turtles, chocolates etc I keep on hand.

    + 1

We name our ING savings accounts. So we have a "Christmas" account, where every pay day, a small amount is deposited into Christmas. Easy Peasy.
