Hi all,
I'm new here, but came on just to share this experience.
I placed an order with homedepot.ca about 6-7 weeks ago, the item I bought didn't work, they came and picked it up a few days later. I ordered a replacement, it came, and all was good. At least all seemed good until a month later when I noticed they still had not refunded my purchase. I called them, they assured me it would happen within 24-48 hours. It didn't. I waited a couple days, called, same thing. Still no refund. Last week on Thursday I spoke to a manager there who told me he would look into it and call me back the next morning. He never did, and I still haven't heard back from him or received a refund. This manager also gave me an email address to contact ([email protected]) which I did immediately. I haven't even heard anything back from them either.
As if that wasn't enough, to top it all off, in reviewing my bills and charges, I realized the they charged me for shipping on BOTH orders, when it was supposed to be free shipping. This means the invoiced amount, and the actual amount they charged me were different. They did this for BOTH orders. This was not some accidental one-off issue, their system is charging people for shipping, while invoicing them for a price without shipping. If people don't catch onto this themselves, then they will keep your money.
Just thought I should share this experience and make sure others are warned about how HD seems to be heading downhill.This thread is currently associated with: Home Depot

I had ordered some things from them, one was damaged, refund was done promptly, no problems at all.

i ordered from homedepot.ca before, they sent me the wrong item, i called customer service and arranged to drop it off at the nearest store for complete refund. the customer service rep ordered another one for me, told me they'd get it right this time, but they sent me the wrong item again. i returned it to the store and got full refund. the rep asked me if i wanted to order again, i said no, i was pretty sure they'd send me the wrong product, no need to go through trouble a third time. after that, i contacted the manufacturer and told them the whole ordeal, they sympathized and sent me a free replacement.

Ordered from homedepot.ca and after three delivery attempts, never got the item and was not too happy. I told them I would not use their delivery service again.
