Thread: Question - Shoppers

I purchased 8 of the 12 packs of eggs this week and was only charged $2.00 SALE, $2.00 SALE, etc for each of them? I am new to Shoppers and thought that the price increases after you reach a limit? I was only charged $2.00 for all 8 of these cartons of eggs, and the flyer said $4/2 with a limit of 2 and $2.39 after limit. Does anyone know why?
Also, another question is that I purchased everyday market butter as well for $2.99 just yesterday, but the flyer says it was supposed to be $3.29 and it was $3.29 at another store where I first purchased the eggs this week?
Does anyone have answers to these questions??

You lucked out with the eggs! Usually the register kicks in to make the change after two.
However, this happened with us for the Life tissues a few weeks ago, usually a limit of 4 at the lower price, but six scanned through at the low price. Not this week, first four were the lower, then next two were higher.
As for your butter, I dunno... but you lucked out on the low side, anyway!
Are you doing some baking?

Thanks for the response....does this happen to anyone else or often??
So it's a register error?
It's in my favour so not complaining! ....however was just wondering why it happens.Last edited by Chado; Thu, Mar 7th, 2013 at 10:47 AM.

I just noticed too that Neilsen 4L milk was $4.19 in London Ontario, and $4.13 in St Thomas Ontario? So is this all due to each individual Shoppers store register errors when these things happen then??

I've seen postings of people getting better deals (butter was specifically mentioned) at one store in town, when other stores in the same town are only offering sale price. My guess is it depends on the market and manager.

I think stores are able to provide lower prices if they want. I've been to 2 Shoppers Drug Mart stores in the same day and one had a humidifier for $24.99 and the other had the same one at $19.99. They're all independently owned so they have some discretion to lower their prices.
I purchased 6 Royal Tissue boxes today and the price was $0.69 for a max of 4 and then the priced jumped to $1.29, but all 6 rang up as $0.69. Weird, but I love it!
