Thanks for responding. I do not think if you are using your case that 6 is excessive and if not I understand what you mean but I still stand that 30 is excessive. When presenting those coupons you are saving/representing future purchases/allcouponers/all families that rely on those coupons even for that one purchase for that little one that is so very sick at home that in your case let us say needs that Tylenol Syrop and cannot afford to spend one her limited income on more that one syrop and thank goodness she has a coupon to her her buy it to help her sick little one at home.) or if you are planning to stock-up now on a sale or DONATING.
My point is not just "getting a deal" a bigger responsibibility rests on your shoulders when you are using your coupons. Future purchases for ALL of us, INCLUDING you (the purchaser).
Thank you again for respoding and I understand your point.

Thank you for your responding. See like a few considerate SC'ers mentionned that as well. That is a great idea. How exactly would you do that? When you see here on Sneak Peaks or receive your flyer what would you do from there so we can all learn?
1. You call your example SDM.
2. Speak to the manager?
3. Write the date, name and time you spoke to mgr.?
4. Reference number ? if there is a form to fill? with above number 3.
5. Date of pick-up?
6. Confirm that they are $XXX and you are ordering X amount and total will be $ XXXXX?
7. Print out orwrite reference information when you go to have data with you when you pick up in case
you need to refer to.
That is probably what I would do but please let us know anyone how you would and do-do.
Thank you so much. Sorry to request home work. I just thought it might be helpful about going about this for us to maybe start doing it and correcting problems of SC'ers not having enough to bring home yourself.
Thanks again .

Thanks for responding and I kept forgetting to mention this. This is what DH said about this too. In my case I have to be honest I use over the counter aids too above what is prescribed and that is the only way I can reach a reasonable well being. I am guilty of that but have gone through steps to fix the problems. In no way defending 30 but I also agree with what you wrote. In my case too. I have no medical plan but still pay for my medication and still buy aids. But 30???!!!!!, I still would not do that.
You see this is why this is great to discuss these issues. We can look at all perspectives and raise awareness and that is what my rant was about. There might be several background reasons but there are also reprocutional reasons and a health reason is a completely valid one that needs to be considered.
Thank you for replying again.

I completely agree on all points raised and I could not have written it better. "Self regulation" and another mention today that I learned "repeat offenders". I think this is jargen that should be in the "couponeeze" list when refering to these subjects.. Two self explanatory important catch phrazes to summarize long explanations.
Thanks gain.

Right? and don't forget you get can a "raincheck" and that is only good if your coupon can stretch out till they finally receive them. I'm certain you already know that but thought I'd mention it in case no one else knows and PM at another store sometimes is another way that you can get lucky at finding them.
Thanks for sharing.

SDM = Shoppers drug mart, You can call the store or simply pop in a few days beforehand and speak with the manager, the order is entered on a handheld scanner and put it aside for you. At my local SDM it is placed up front and I pick it up the day want to shop. It helps to know when your store puts in their orders; often times this is before sales, so that's why the early release flyers on SmartCanucks helps. My Shoppers Drug Mart orders on Thursday. They take my name and quantity.
Rain checks are also great if you don't need the item right away, whoever mentioned that...good point."There are more important things--friendship and bravery...."

Not all Shoppers does that cause a few stores have gotten in trouble with the manufacture and head office. I am a CS Manager and we were told never to do that and even a memo. Mind you this is for Halifax area and mainland Nova Scotia.

I've never had a problem and would be surprised at a store turning away business (SDM or other), especially when I could take it else where. If I need a larger quantity of formula I think stores would want to make sure they have enough in stock. Once again this thread is all about reasonableness...I only order 4 cans at a time. Each store is different. The 3 SDM I frequent are F.A.B.U.L.O.U.S. in all areas of couponing and CS.

That's exactly what I was thinking when there was a free deal on aspirin with very generous aspirin coupons - I limited myself, but then ran out, as my dog needs one a day of the buffered/stomach guard kind for his arthritis. If there ever is a deal again, I am going for 30 bottles of buffered aspirin if I can get my hands of them.
So I would give this Advil person the benefit of the doubt that s/he really needed it.
I did pick up a bunch of Zantac's just for the overage, and I don't know what to do with them now. They're just cluttering up my space. I will never use them. So, I'm not going for Zantac anymore, I feel bad.

pretty sure i only had 1 coupon. I mean advil has expiry dates and it's usually only 1 year or so,maybe 2,bet they didn't even realize that one so hopefully they paid the taxes for something that will just go to waste! People have been doing this left and right especially at wal mart, drives me nuts.
