The one in Wasaga Beach drove at least two smaller video stores out of business and now it's closing. What a shame.

To my understanding BBV had stopped issuing GC's for awhile now (since end of april?), and only offering in store credit. However if you had a GC before then it was completely valid. I know ppl who took advantage of DVD trade-in back in march, and still had hundreds of $$$ left on their cards as a result of it.

They were still issuing them as of a few weeks ago at two locations I frequent. May have been a store's decision to stop earlier than now? Not sure.

But I got my gift card during that trade in event, got 400 bucks, but slowly been spending it. Just going to finish it off asap though.

Going to try at my local store after work and see what happens. That is the store I called and she said they would accept it, so hopefully she was not misinformed.

The two closest to me are not on that list but one about 20 minutes away is. So does that mean they are staying open, and I can continue to use gift cards and my entertainment pack.

Yes you should still be able to use it @ the open stores

You can use your ones to buy item's such as $3 off used dvd but they cannot be used with the 30 % off its only one or the other
and remember everything is the store is 30 % off not just used movies
But i am so sad to be leaving .I have a full time job , but have worked at my store for 6 years part time, I loved my store and my neighbourhood.

Are there any clearance sales going on or do we have to wait a few more days before seeing really great deals ..maybe they will just shift stock from one closing to store to another open store so there might not be a fire sale .

Just came back from BBV.

It was busy but not as bad as I expected. I only grabbed 2 blu's. Seem'd like most ppl were grabbing 15-20 movies. It was a sight thats for sure

If you want something GO NOW if anything is let over at the end of the week it will be reduced But im sure it will be the bad movies that nobody wants anyways.
The new movie and games, candy chips ,systems every thing is 30% off .my co-worker just called
me and said our store is destroyed already . I am so heartbroken

my store was keele and Dundas if you were looking for tv shows we have tons. I was there till midnight pricing and putting them together and then I went home and cried , lots of kids stuff also at 6.99 with 30 % off.
