This deserves to be here! I rarely venture to this section but I am furious

Today my area is snow clearing and they are pretty strict about parking on the street and I do not need a ticket so I made sure BOTH my cars were in my driveway when I left for work this morning as I take the bus to save money

Well this is what I return home to! This is just not behind my car, it is right against my car and plowed under my bumper - every other driveway on my street is CLEARED except mine

WTF, call 311 and after 24 minutes on hold they say it can take anywhere from 4-8hrs to have it remove and didn't even say SORRY

WHAT DO YOU EXPECT ME TO DO!!! I already tried to shovel it and broke my only shovel I had

I am beyond fuming right now as that is just plain rude

that's is awful, I would be totally pissed off just like you are, I would access your car for damage when they clean up the mess, because you never know. Best of luck, hope get come sooner than later.

Do I see the pics right? Are you able to to squeeze the car in front of the Tercel out beside your neighbour's drive - doing the 3 point turns?

Ok, let me get this correct.....they clear out the end of your drive AFTER the plow clears the road?

I could do that if my car would move, but the thick ice is under my bumper and don't need it to be ripped off

Yes usually if they leave snow on your driveway they are to clear it off and push it up on your front lawn, all they had to do is turn the plow around a plow the opposite way but they didn't

We are lucky here, I guess it also helps that I live in a school zone (1 minute walk away)

At least they cleaned your front street. Our area was supposed to be done yesterday and they only did *1/2* the street....as in the side that you drive on, not the side that vehicles park on, so there is now a ridge about 6 inches high in the middle of the road. This is the second time this year that it has happened and calling 311 did no good
They also decided to do the back lane today?! without any notice so our van is now stuck in the back parking pad b/c of the HUGE ridge And because it was done during the day it is now frozen and cannot be shoveled. DH is hoping that it will warm up tomorrow so he can shovel.

That's a pain! I think I'd be digging out behind my car myself to make sure that they don't decide to clear it with a plow, damaging the car!

I'm honestly not sure why they're clearing the residential streets -- we've lived with the snow long enough to drive over it and pack it down so people aren't getting --and now it's all melting! In previous years, I don't remember them being quite so quick with the plows in residential areas.

It has now been cleared however I will be making a complaint to the city as this is crazy - I know nothing will be done about it but WOW the guy that was here was the rudest ever

Apparently it is my fault for parking my car there, WHERE you ask, in my driveway as to avoid a lovely ticket from the city

I asked him where else would I have parked my car if not in my own driveway of my house and his response was you could move it up

Umm up where, my car is snug against my other car and the first car is at the beginning of my driveway - maybe he meant I should have parked my car on my front lawn in the 6ft of snow that is there
