I took my grandma out to Wa-lMart today so she could get some pop and water. We get to the checkout and the cashier goes "Did you know you can price match here? Just bring in the flyer and we'll match the price." I told him I knew this but this was a last minute stop. So he goes "Well I know Shoppers has pop on sale for 3 for 9.99, so I'll price match it for you."
I was so shocked that A). Wal-mart has employees that don't act like someone has a gun to their head and is forcing them to work cash, and b) that he would actually do that to save a little old lady 1.50.
I won't post his name or what store it was because I don't want to get him in trouble since I didn't show him a flyer, but it totally made my grandma's day.This thread is currently associated with: Shoppers Drug Mart, Walmart

that was soo sweet of him! you're right, a different kind of brag - not very often that cashiers are cheering us on for price matching or couponing, never mind actually mentioning it and helping out!

Did you know....9/10 times if you go to customer service at almost any Walmart they will have a copy of their competitors flyers and are more then happy to let you use them to price match!

I had a similar experience at RCSS recently, I was PMing some of my groceries at a cashier I hadnt been to before. The cashier was so good he knew that at item I was buying (but not pm'ing) was on sale at another store and pointed it out to me in the flyer to save me some money. So kind!
