Couponing when you are a clean eater is difficult. Dig through the recycle bins for the banana/berries.salad coupons. You will be amazed at how many people throw them away. Do you eat canned stuff? I get sodium reduced veggie broths/canned beans/sodium reduced pastes for really cheap with coupons.

I find that in order to accommodate our eating, I just have to coupon for other things like shampoo, hygiene items, etc to allow for extra money for the good stuff.

No more healthy than the General Mills? Are you taking the piss? The second ingredient in most of the cereals I've come across is sugar. Kashi's cane sugar is much further down the list than the others. It's not even close. I'll look out for Good For You the next time I'm at Superstore.

thanks for the tips, I was about to post my own thread when this one popped up! in my area they have farmers baskets where you pay a fee and get free local produce every week, its cheaper then the grocery store and you support the local farmers. The only catch is you get whatever is in season

Yeah I've looked into some of the farmer's baskets but ones where you can choose what you like. I decided against it for the time being but I might look into it again. I should start trading for veggies and things but veggies and fruits are so cheap. I'm saving on everything else I'm not bothered paying for produce. I still look for it on sale obviously but I'm not going to die if I don't get $1 off bagged salad or $2 off bananas.

I watched a video by an American Coupon Blogger from livingrichwithcoupons.com and she said not to worry about buying produce and essentials as you're saving so much elsewhere that it doesn't really make a difference. She said if you want to pay $4 for organic milk then do so. I think organic milk is a bit of a joke myself but I understand what she's saying.
