I'm thinking of switching my cat's food. She's been eating Whiskas basically all her life, but doesn't eat most of her food. Only bits and bites.

Are there any companies out there who would offer samples, if asked?

eg. Iams, Friskies, Science Diet, etc etc?

Not sure what's out there. I'd prefer not to spend a fortune, but might consider a non-coupon brand, if kitty likes it.
Wouldn't mind hearing experiences with different brands too, if anyone has insight.

    Thanks in advance.

Pet food stores use to hand out samples.

I'm feeding my cats Science Diet. They did have a rebate going on, but I think it's over; they would probably send you a coupon or gift certificate so you can try their food. My one cat's favorite food was Friskies morsels though he is fine with eating the SD food now.

How old is your cat? Maybe her teeth are bothering her. I think some of brands that are bigger pieces may be harder for an older cat to chew up.

I believe in April she will be 5. Not that old, and I will make a point to check her teeth, but I think mostly since they changed the darker bits in the whiskas, she does not like it as much.

Thanks for the insight. I'll check the MIR thread.

Pop into a Global Pet or Pet Valu and tell them you are looking for something for your cat, they usually have samples there to try (and coupons)
