Candyland Brag

While on Pinterest a few months ago I stumbled on pins of a Candyland birthday party, so I thought that would be a perfect theme for DD's next birthday (6+ months away). I showed her some pics and of course she said YES (who wouldn't? lol).

So I started saving the $5 off Hasbro board games coupons (from popcorn boxes) in hopes of finding a great deal.

This week at Toys R Us they have Candyland on for $7.77!!!

I was able to get 10 and used 10 of the $5 coupons, making each game only $2.77 plus taxes.

Total came to $37.80 (taxes were on price before coupons) and I used a old left over TRU GC for about $17. Making my OOP just over $20.

So now DD gets to give her friends the Candyland board game (and some candy) as a party favor for her birthday and it cost me around the same price as cheap throw away toy favors.
