Thread: What if a coupon DOESEN'T scan correctly?

    I know it sounds stupid - but I could happen...

    Could the cashier enter it manually? oh the nightmare...

    Has anyone had this happen to them? I mean - a coupon not scanning?

    What would I say to them? Forget it?

    Coupons never really scan unless they are store specific, like loblaws or sdm. They are always manually entered.

    Wait, what? I've never seen a coupon that's been entered manually... then again i've never been shopping in a while with my parents.. hmm..

    All coupons in Canada are entered manually. Superstore/Loblaws have scannable store coupons.

    hmm... I'm probably thinking too much of the "Extreme Couponing" show in America...

    EDIT: I don't understand why coupons have barcodes then..

    My local Metro scans coupons, manufactuers and Metro ones, both seem to be accepted by the computer.
