new to site and couponing

Hi my name is Starla and I am new to smartcanucks and fairly new to couponing (4 wks). I have found it is very hard to get really good deals without trading or joining a coupon train. My profile has all the coupons I have that I am willing to trade. Ideally I would like to join a coupon train- if you have any tips or suggestions on how to make this happen please let me know! I hope to find some good deals and maybe even some good friends on this site. Thank you!

Hello everyone how is everyone doing hope doing well i am new to this thats why sorry being thatlate i am totally lost i cant find coupons just got some on friday from save .ca but cant find deals . i really need help . my husband was laughing at me that it just waste. of time you wont be able to do that but i wantto give a try hope i will be able to do and save somewhere . any tips willappreciate

Some tips for getting started:

Visit SC regularly and check the blog, deals, brags, coupon and new posts. You will find a wealth of information.

Send away for all the coupons you can from the coupon sites listed in the sticky info of the coupon section.

Find out the stores you frequent will take printed coupons and if they do check the printable datebase here on SC and print out the coupons you will use.

Check the coupon train section regularly but act fast since they fill up quickly.

Check the thread on products that have coupons to find out what to buy that comes with great coupons (ie cereals, juice, M&Ms, Nestea, etc). Wait for these products to go on sale and you are in business.

Check the SC blog for Facebook coupon offers (lots of free product offers lately).

Go on coupon finding expeditions in your favourite stores.

Watch for coupons in magazines (Glow, Chatelaine, Canadian Living).

Asks questions about anything you are not sure of, SCers are known for giving good advice and knowing how to get the best deal.

Try to combine sales, coupons and bonus point offers, it gives you the best bang for your dollar.

Start small, use a few coupons to get started so it is not overwhelming.

Good luck and I'm sure you will have a coupon and product stash before you know it!!
