Do you download MP3/Movie/TV series from the net?

I'll be honest here and say that yes I do download.

There's no way I can afford to buy all the software programs I use. A program like Adobe Photoshop which I use on a daily basis costs about $800 and that's just a single program!

I do however buy console video games. But I download PC ones.

As for music, if it's one of my favourite artists I'll buy the album, otherwise I just download the mp3.

If you pay for programs, games, music and movies you end up paying thousands of dollars per month. I'm interested in knowing what others do.

We buy almost everything... and it is a big drain on the pocket. I'll download the occassional song, but that's about it. I really hate buying a whole CD and only liking one song. Sorry, it's just not worth it.
We do go on itunes though to purchase songs that we really like especially if I want it to be a certain quality.

we have limewire but i only download songs if i dont want all of the songs on a cd. i just dont see the point in buying the cd if there are only two or three songs that you like also i like downloading the previews of songs from itunes before i buy the cd

Just starting to download, burned one cd so far. Yeah I'll admit I am cheap. Isn't that one of the reasons we are all here?

Depends..most of the time I download songs...but that's because I have really random taste in music...otherwise I'll probably rent a movie..or watch the show on television

Well you'll all be happy to know that, despite any feelings of guilt you might have, in Canada it's all perfectly legal. The only way some of this falls into a gray area is if you're the one providing the files for others. Of course with most p2p software, it's pretty hard to avoid that.

My habits are pretty much in line with Boo's. Most of the shows I watch are either British or American cable, so I can't get them up here to begin with. Downloading's my only option. And besides - thanks to my Xbox 360 I can watch what I download on my TV without ever having to burn a DVD.

Same goes for music, although I don't download too much of that. If I'm listening to anything, it's usually podcasts - but I guess that's a download too! :D

But console games I do buy. I don't know why, but I feel like I've got to draw a line somewhere. Mind you, I've downloaded my share of older console games and GBA titles, and I've even toyed with the idea of getting a GBA homebrew card so I can download them and play them right on the system - but I've never been able to commit to the idea.

I used Bit Torrent to download movies.
I download the occasional song. But that's only if I want to see what it sounds like. I'm not all big on burning music.
The movies I download are also for sort of previewing on my computer. If I like the movie then I'll burn it but that's rare.

The kids however... sheesh. I can't afford buying every movie that comes out. So I have some burnt titles for them.

The games and such I buy outright. I don't know how to get them to work on my PS2.
