    Hi peeps,

This isn't a couponing question, but I thought someone on here may be able to assist. I have recently considering cancelling my tv services & signing up for Netflix & was curious on people that have used it (opinions please)...what were the pros & cons...in your opinion would you do it again or do you still have it? I thought of possibly trying for the summer as we're hardly home anyway...

I have Netflix right now and I find it pretty good. I would buy it for the movies, but not really for the TV series. There are many shows that I want to watch, but they either don't put the latest episode or there are many shows not offered in Canada. For instance, the states offer futurerama, but they don't offer it here in Canada. =[

i signed up when they were offering the free dominos gift card. ..after the one month free was over i cancelled as i found the selection poor... every movie i wanted to watch was not available so i stopped searching. I would recommend searching their catelogue of movies/shows before u sign up to pay. ..or atleast try the one month free if they are still offering. also make sure you dont go over your data limit for internet as it will be very expensive if you do. ...netflix did improve their data usage. .however, going over your internet package is always possible...so monitor this.

The selection isn't that great. There's a couple good movies, but I spend more time trying to find one worth watching than actually watching them,

I have it and I find my kids love it and I only watched one tv series on their since getting it. There are quite a few movies on it but not to many are really recent but still LOTS. I have heard others who watch it a lot go over their bandwidth and I recently have considered changing internet carriers to Teksavvy as I have heard they have very good service and you get 300gb- unlimited for less then I am paying with bell getting 60gb.

    Hello,

Netflix is great if you have children they have a lot of kids movies and family movies to keep the youngsters happy. I don't find much i like to watch on it. I definitely spend more time searching for something worth watching and usually give up. Their selection is quite dated. I also don't think they add new releases very often. The TV series are mostly old seasons. But it is a great way to cut down on your cable bill if you enjoy older movies.

Netflix has a one month trial offer. You can try it out for one month free and if you don't like it then you can cancel but you have to remember to cancel! I wouldn't cancel my cable. Netflix kinda sucks. There's a good selection for children. It's only 8 dollars a month, too bad there wasn't a coupon code for it lol!

The selection isn't good enough for you to cancel cable if you watch new series.

Personally I use Zip.ca. They mail you the movies, but they are working on adding streaming video. You can request TV series, DVD, Blu-ray. It's a little more expensive than Netflix, but I cancelled my cable and haven't looked back. Between Zip and streaming on the internet, I save money. My plan on Zip was 24$ a month (now it's 18$) and I get unlimited movies, 2-3 out at a time. Their service is great, and you collect reward points as you go that can go towards free months, etc. My next month is actually free, thanks to the rewards. I used to pay 40$ a month for Cable that I almost never watched, so it's definitely worth it to me. They also ALWAYs have new releases that you can add to your queue (Ziplist). That's just me though! Good luck!

We cancelled ours in Jan. We have netflix AND you can also go to bctv.ca and global.com to watch shows. Pretty cool and its free. Netflix is pretty good for what you pay. I was addicted to television. I honestl don't miss it verymuch never thought I'd say that). News is depressing and you can get the latest online. There are only a few shows I miss. But not worth the $$$.
