Whre have all the coupons gone?

Has anyone else noticed that in the last 6-8 months, coupons are getting harder & harder to find? And lesser & lesser in value?
I understand that everyone struggles to be where they need to be, but are big corporations cutting back on the coupons they were putting out as well?
Anyone have input? Maybe it's just my local stores not putting any out?? It encourages me to shop state-side (I'm fortunate to live on the Cda-USA border) to spread my dollars as far as they can go!

this year we didn't have the pick up in fall what we have had in previous years.. we go coupon light in the summer and come september the amount on shelves pick up but this year around.. i'm still waiting to find more then a handful of different coupons per cycle..
