So today I ended up having the car at work rather than taking the train because I was going to be late, and then my after-hours meeting was cancelled.

There's a No Frills near my work (1.5 blocks away) which is the only one I'm anywhere near and I left my coupons at home because I was going to be doing other things at lunch.

Anyways, I toddled down to the Loonie store to pick up some shower puffs; No Frills is about a block away.

I went in anyways and they still had Classico sauce on sale for $2 each so I got 8, and some Barelli pasta for $0.99 each and almost 2L of olive oil for $4.57.

As an addition, I perused their in store specials and wrote down all the stuff I wanted and/or knew I had coupons for; I will go back later this week.

So true, always bring your coupons! I've been caught a few times myself wishing I had them with me!

haha, i did the same thing yesterday! different store, but my coupons were at home. I haven't sorted them into a binder yet (i know...newbie...) and they're just in a big stack with an elastic around them, so i'm always scared to lose them...that's why i left them at home. but i brought them today! And i'm going to go get some sheets from the dollar store so i dont run into this problem again! Great deal on the Classico sauces though! Love those for a quick pasta dinner!

I know, I try to make sure to bring mine everywhere... Once we went to WM and I forgot it but we had planned to go to CT to look for baby pool items which I knew I had no coupons for so it didnt dawn on me to bring them in case we went someplace else...

I always have them with me. Always.

Ok, except for that time I ran over to RCSS for coffee beans and found a whole bunch of pink stickers on some Gillette BW that I had coupons for.

I learned this yesterday. But I learned because I had them with me, I got even more sales and didn't go over my budget. Also BF wanted a drink while we were in the store so im gald I had the binder for that reason.

I'm just stuffing the coupons I know I'll use at certain stores in envelopes and taking those with me. I usually take the train/skytrain to work so I don't usually have a car. The binder is too heavy to schlep around in addition to work stuff, laptop, various cables and my shopping bags. I know what stores we have around here so I plan it out and take those ones only.
