I received an email from Sweetlife Toronto, and it is the strangest thing. There is a restaurant opining in Toronto called La Société!

We’re not sure how well the French-women-don’t-get-fat diet works for us, but we’d choose wine and cheese over lemon water and cayenne pepper any day.

And with tomorrow’s opening of La Société, a new Parisian-style bistro in Yorkville, we’ll have the chance to indulge in authentic French cuisine all summer long. The glam, 1920s-inspired space features leather banquettes, a spectacular stained glass ceiling and two outdoor patios.

On our sneak-peek visit, we sampled a rich Roquefort and walnut salad ($12), deliciously fresh scallops ($28),tangy mustard-crusted salmon ($29) and the best French onion soup we’ve had this side of the Atlantic. Dessert was a heavenly crème brulée ($11).

We’ll be stopping by often – and if the food somehow makes us thinner, tant mieux.

I finally got in again! But not sure how it works. Regarding the invites--are they the same as before where the recipient gets a code? What if they don't use the code-does that mean you wasted it?

I doubt it has anything to do with Stella Artois. It's just a coincidence. La Société simply translates to "The Society". There's a restaurant in Paris by the same name.
