This question comes up often, and it is my understanding (thanks to clarification from many other knowledgeable members) that:

Walmart Does accept competitors coupons, but only if the coupon states the actual selling price of the item. Not coupons for dollars/cents off.

So if you have a Canadian Tire specific coupon that says "Buy a Swiffer Wetjet for $10" then yes, it can be used at Walmart.

This is because Walmart enters them as a pricematch, not like a manufacture coupon, that they can mail in and get reinbursed for.

If that same Canadian Tire specific coupon said "Save $10 on a Swiffer Wetjet" then, no, it would not be accepted at Walmart.

In their policy it states that it is ok. It is usually punched in as a price match.

In the printed policy I have that came from their customer service department, they do accept competitors coupons. THat doesn't mean things have changed, since policies seem to be changing by the day. But, the last thing I have says yes.

As a new couponer it gets so confusing for me when one store will say yes and then the same store just a different location will say no!

It does get very confusing but Gucciogoo 22 said it perfectly.
The policy states they will accept competitors coupons. Only if they state a certian amount.
    Get this for $10.
    Not save $1 on this.
People are having those accepted at some walamrts but the policy states that they should not be accepting those!!

I tried to use a Super Store coupon and was refused. was told if i wanted to use a coupon from there i had to bring in the flyer from there showing them the price of the item. then they would price match and use the coupon.

People are having those accepted at some walamrts but the policy states that they should not be accepting those!!

And it frustrates me to no end that people are still doing it knowingly even though it is stated very clearly in the "policy" that everyone waves in the cashiers face when things are going south. I also mentioned before in another thread, during a telephone conversation with Maria from HO (who happened to sign that letter) confirmed that they didn't accept these cpns unless it met that criteria outlined on the "policy". $ off a cpn clearly doesn't meet the competitor's cpn criteria.
