Thread: Redemption Weekend
-
Sat, May 11th, 2013, 04:28 PM #1
No one redeemed points today? Usually on bonus redemption weekend there's lots of excitement with people posting their purchases. I didn't redeem for various reasons but wanted to participate vicariously through other people's redemptions. Post what you redeemed for please!

I redeemed today. Nothing exciting - food, razors, glade, shampoo, a new brush for me. let my husband throw in a bunch of things that he wanted to try in to the cart. He is like a big kid during redemption

I did a $100 redemption today. My receipt says I saved approx. another $63 due to sales and B1G1 offers. I was able to use coupons from my personal weekly SDM email plus some others that came w/ my SDM MC statement. So earned approx another 6000 points thanks to those offers. Mostly grocs and practical items, but did treat myself to a magazine purchase that had bonus points since I had a coupon for it. Used $6 in money off coupons. All in all, pleased with my shop. Although the store was busy, it seemed that only my girlfriend and I were doing redemptions. My GF did a $200 redemption - used about $14 in coupons including a SDM $10 off coupon she had earned in an earlier shop. She did many more B1G1 purchases than I, I believe her receipt said she had saved about $85 due to sales. We gleefully loaded up our vehicle. We're both retired and love the free shopping. When you are on a limited income, these "free " shops have lotsa impact.

I am an SDM diehard but I did not redeem today because the redemptions are come too fast and furious (I redeemed about 2 mos ago) and there wasn't much in the flyer for me. I am being *very* selective about SDM these days.

Thanks everyone, good to hear others enjoying it. Wish I could partake...sigh. Have the points just need to clean stuff up and too many unexpected expenses to allow me to splurge in the beauty area. Even if it is only taxes.
Thanks for sharing.

I might go tomorrow and do a $100 redemption and get groceries. I think they had burgers, vegetables and some other frozen food on sale. My freezer is almost empty and with a boy who never stops eating, free food is awesome. I have enough points to do a $200 but I don't think I will.
Looking for FPC for almost everything. Growing teen boy eating me out of house and home. Visit my facebook page www.facebook.com/UneekCreations Will trade finished product from my Etsy shop.

I am preferring the $100 redemption except at Christmas time. I paid about five dollars out-of-pocket."There are more important things--friendship and bravery...."

Might redeem for a GPS........everytime we go away...which is only 2 or 3 times, we have to borrow one...mind you it would be handy to use around town too if the need is there. Have to figure out if it's better now or better later with the different weekend promo's (ie. 20% or 25% off + 20x's etc)
