Sobey's has Old Spice Fresh Collection body wash 2/$5.

I have two coupons "Save $2 when you buy any TWO Old Spice products"
I have another two coupons "Save $2 when you buy any ONE Fresh Collection or Red Zone Anti-Persirant Deodorant or Body Wash"

I was ecstatic to see that the Old Spice products that were on sale were the Fresh Collection products...that both my coupons would work.

My though process: I would buy 2/$5. I would use my "Save $2 when you buy any TWO Old Spice products" coupon and, since I have two products, could also use my "Save $2 when you buy any ONE Fresh Collection or Red Zone Anti-Persirant Deodorant or Body Wash"
...Thus, making my subtotal $1 for the two products.

I tried to use this for four bottles of body wash (since I had 4 coupons) and was utterly humiliated. The girl at Sobey's made me feel like a complete idiot, bringing over her two coworkers. They said I could only use one of the coupons for the 2/$5 deal.

I understand if my thinking was wrong - I just don't know where I went wrong. Could somebody help me?

In sobeys you cannot stack coupons. There are only a few places (none in my area) that allow you to do this.
You are only allowed to use either the $2 off wub2 or the $2 wub1, cannot combine them.
Don't feel bad, I'm new at this as well and mistakes happen.

Sobey's doesn't stack coupons, so for the 4 bottles of bodywash you were trying to buy, you could use 2 coupons.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhh okay I see. I guess I don't really understand coupon stacking either so it makes sense that I wouldn't think of that or know it wasn't allowed! Do any places allow this?

The other week I bought Gilette deodorant at SDM with a "Buy any deodorant and get a free body wash" and I also used my $1 off Gilette deodorant coupon. Was that stacking?

You could take the flyer to LD and try the stack there, where they let us combine coupons and they price match.

Stacking cpns is when you use more than one coupon on the same product (with a different UPC). The only places that do it here in Wpg are London Drugs.

For that one you're using $1 off on the Gillette and a FPC with purchase on the body wash. So technically its' one coupon being used for each product and no stacking.

Yeah, most would call that stacking, although I've seen some that would call that "grouping". If your store doesn't stack though (SDM doesn't stack, in any province), your cashier probably just didn't think about it. You got lucky

See, you're getting different answers already! So your best bet: Just ask at customer service before you go shopping

It would have worked if the store had a "WUB2" sale you could have used two diff dollars off.
