I am not even close to getting married yet but have thought about eloping, my family is quite large (and I know someone is going to something and make me super B***** that day) and my guy knows EVERYONE literally where he lives I am like how oh how will we keep this someone manageable.
But than again this is me who keeps telling my family we are eating off royal chinette (sp?) which makes half of them completely freak out. If that doesn't work I tell them I am getting married in jeans and a tank top which leads to more freaking out. I think more than anything the freak out if the fact they know if any of us would follow through it would be me. What can I say there is a large part of my family who is all about what will they think, some how me wanting a simple wedding would reflect badly some how (I do not get it, I do not understand it and I do not want to understand or get it). Luckily for me, my mom is on my side and will make sure I get my way as there will be pressure on certain aspects (who to invite, money spent).
What can I say not even engaged and already feeling the stress and they wonder why I am not married lol.

My wedding was really, really small. My husband didn't want anyone there....nobody! (Could of been because we didn't really know each other yet and he was nervous enough....lol) I wanted a church wedding though and a dress so it was very simple and no stress. We just told family and friends that it was my husbands wishes and they all understood. At the wedding itself it was just our parents and my sister who was my bridesmaid and my husband and his bestman. We did have a supper later for just immediate family at Heritage Park in Calgary and it was the perfect evening. We skipped out at 9:00 for the honeymoon! Never regretted not having a big wedding.

Buddy, forgot to put on my WL and mention that DD likes disposable straws :) She uses them whenever she drinks from a cup. Coloured ones would be great!
