Today I got HOMEMADE Ivory Laundry soap--complete with scoop! Cherie, this is just beyond awesome! Please, please, please, give me the recipe I would LOVE to know how to make my own laundry detergent

P.S. How sad is it that I am THIS excited to do laundry tonight??

Oh I am so happy that she liked the books & the sidewalk chalk! Kelsey loved Caillou it was one of her favorites. Did you find anything else for you inside the box or are you saving that for tomorrow?

Since I had no idea what to open today (thanks to peanut), I let her open! LOL she loved it! She opened a box of sidewalk chalk! Crayola. Love this stuff! She let me put it away for her, until she uses up her old stuff. Pretty pumped though! Then she tried to rip into another gift, but I stopped her. All she could see was caillou's face through the ripped paper, so I let her open it and what a great gift! She loves caillou! Look at all my caillou books mom!

DIY Ivory Laundry soap:

2 cups of borax
2 cups Arm and Hammer washing soda
1 bar of finely shredded Ivory soap
I add one cap/lid full of unstoppables or gain fireworks to scent it.

Now this stuff doesn't bother my family, but I get dry skin from it However I get dry skin from ALL Laundry soap. Purex and gain are the worst.

I worked on this recipe for a while. A friend gave me a recipe for liquid laundry soap I have yet to get that one perfect. But this one I have been making for a few months, and I really like it. I gave some to my MIL and my Aunts and they both make their own laundry soap now too ha!

the only place I have seen both the borax, and washing soda at were Safeway, but I have seen washing soda at walmart and co-op, and borax at sobeys

You can always use essential oils to scent your laundry soap too instead of the unstoppables. I also used to use 2 cap fulls of the unstoppables but cut it down to one as I found the scent to strong

Never thought to put puzzle books on my WL but very glad to get them.

I also like Supernatural. I prefer Dean to Sam but that`s partly because he was on another show before that I really liked, and while Sam was on Gilmore Girls which was good, he was kind of a geek on that one and I still think it when I see him I also like that just when you think it`s over, they renew it lol.

I think I like Sam more... But I like Dean's humour more. Soo happy season was renewed!
