We're sitting here eating our Dairy Queen sundaes. I won't rant too much but turns out the birthday party was moved to today, we barely had any notice. Show up an hour late and barely anyone talked to us - they apparently felt the need to invite everyone they knew - most of whom I don't know (DH's nephews 1st birthday).
They opened presets without even telling anyone.
And I finally decided to leave after an hour of feeling incredibly out of place. DD cried that she didn't get any cake or ice cream and I felt so guilty that I went through DQ drive thru on the way home.
*sigh* And I get to see everyone again tomorrow. I hate DH working so far away.

Thanks i should elaborate a little bit. i was on my phone earlier and it was hard to type a whole thing out.
We had a cat for 15 years who past away Sept 2011. Now I need to tell you when we moved here 5 years ago we couldnt bear to get rid of him so we snuck her in. She was declawed, never tried to run out the door, very laid back and the best cat EVER!!! It took till Easter of this year for us to be able to love again and adopted on from the local Humane Society. We found a 2 yr old gorgous orange tabby who my kids fell for as soon as they seen his pic on-line. So we paid the fees, had him fixed and licenced, ect, ect. He was awesome at first. Never yowled, never tried to escape, nothing! Now suddenly in the last month or so this is all he does is yowl, and trys to escape!
Suddenly within the last few weeks we have got 2 notices about the "pet rules" here in our unit. Not directed to us but the whole unit in general. They also added in the rules "that if anyone gets caught with a pet, they wont even been asked to get rid of it, its an immediate eviction".
So after a family meeting between us we decided that we can no longer keep Sammy as he is getting to be more trouble than we are willing to deal with and Im not willing to live in my car because of a cat!(Unfortunately we are in this type of housing unit because this is all we can afford because housing costs are so high here lately!)
So come Thursday night after work we have to go surrender him back to the humane society as that is the best thing for him. I can guarentee he will find a great new home in now time, because when hes not being (excuse my language) a sh** disterber, he is extreamly loving and cuddly cat. He even kisses and hugs!
We are sad to see him go but know this is the best thing we can do for him

Thanks Anna. Yes I truely am! My cat that I had for 15 years came before my kids, and hubby so she was my first baby. A friend of mine found her as a deserted stray when we was only 1 week old so i was the only mommy she ever knew. It was EXTEAMLY had when she got sick and had to be put down, and now to do this kills me! We had a huge tear fest when we had our family meeting as we have become pretty attached to Sam rather quickly but we know its the best thing for him and us.

Another event done. Just stayed 1.5 hours. Long enough to drop off gifts and make an appearance. Too hectic with 2 little ones and just me. Pretty sure DS (2) took a swig out of someone's wine before I grabbed it.
At least DH will be home in a few days! Cannot wait for my "day off" for US shopping! lol

Thanks everyone for the sympathy about my cat.
Sorry to hear about your cat situation scbpooh. That's not an easy choice either, but has to be done. Not worth being evicted, and he can find a new good home.
Did not shop for my buddy this weekend. Hoping to get more done mid-week. Also hoping that summer weather will make an appearance soon. We only have a nice day here or there, with lots of cold and rain in between. Are any of you having nice weather where you live? Or is it on strike across the country?
