Greetings all,

When I was a child, I watched the ball drop in Time Square on TV & on New Year’s Eve (every year) and I wanted to be there SO much one day …

While vacationing in Barbados in 1989, I went scuba diving for the first time and afterwards I always wanted to get my PADI certification someday ...

When I got married, the honeymoon was supposed to be in Saint Lucia. We bought a house instead & there was no honeymoon. St. Lucia remained a place I needed too visit.

Well within 2 week in 2009, I killed all three bucket list items by never saying "One Day". How? Writing it down. When you write things down, your subconscious mind for some strange reason will make things happen. (Trust me on this one) I have a journal. Not everyone has to have a journal … post-em-notes work brilliantly as well, as long as you can see them every day and it sinks in. I wasn’t all convinced about this at all, but now I am. Why? I killed half of my bucket list in less than 4 years and building it.

I will share with you my bucket list experiences and I'm looking forward hearing about what yours are!

What a wonderful post! I have been meaning to do this and keep forgeting and when I remember I just don't have the time. You inspired me to stop putting it off and put it down. Thank you for that, sincerely. You and your DH/BF seem so happy, what a wonderful feeling that must be. How elated you both look. Thanks oscarandme. Actually both of those trips I did I went solo. The men in the pictures are just people I met throughout my travels. In NYC I met people from around the world which was fascinating! We've even kept in touch over the years on Facebook. I ticked off another bucket list item last November which was traveling 3000kms across South Africa in two weeks. Now I have to save my pennies and start planning the next trip. Where too next? Belize perhaps, South of France & Paris perhaps or ... Italy!!! I'm still writing and revising the list every month.
