Omg so I was on the phone with my mom getting her optimum card number so I could transfer 95,000 points to her account and we could redeem using her card so I could take advantage of some bonus point offers I've already used on my card. Well she apparently didn't have her glasses on and read one of the digits wrong! Long story short I basically just transferred 95,000 points to a total stranger.
I called 1-800-shoppers right away, the girl looked into it, asked some questions and put me on hold but then she said she was sending a correspondence and someone will have to call me on Monday because nobody there right now can do anything about it. Freaking out!!! What if that person spends my points?? Will shoppers give them back to me? If i just lost out on $220 I'm going to cry.
I hope they can see that it was just a one digit error and they're able to fix it but what if they don't. Luckily I still have enough points to participate in the redemption this weekend but I'm so scared I lost out on those points I transferred.

Thank you for the positive messages, it has definitely helped me stay calm and not worry as much. Still can't believe my mom mixed up a 4 with a 9 lol, she must be getting old. I'll update on Monday with the outcome of the situation.

I got my points back! Thank goodness, that was a stressful situation. I know they're just points and it shouldn't have gotten me so worried (first world problems lol) but those 95,000 points will go so far for me with having a new baby at home. I'm so relieved!
No one even called me back, I just checked my account and the points are back in there.
Thanks so much to everyone who commented on the thread for your well wishes and positivity. SCers are the best!

Yeah! Glad you got them back and very quickly. Sometimes I think I shouldn't hoard my points and start using them as I hit the highest level so I'm not worried about losing them etc. I would be upset too.
