I was at my NF today and tried to use the Oasis printable and the girl immediately made a call. She was told that internet coupons are not accepted. I asked if this was something new and she didn't know. I told her I'd used some last week without a problem so I don't know if there is a new policy.
I saw that someone else on one of these forums mentioned it in a thread as well but they went to a different cashier and used them.
Has anyone else had issues recently? This is at the one at Kingston Road/Midland Avenue in Scarborough, ONThis thread is currently associated with: No Frills

there is a Loblaw comapny coupon policy and no frills is one of the stores under that coupon policy and they do accept printed coupons I would have called for a manager to come or called head office as they do accept printed coupons

they are NOT changing it, it is the people that don't know that shut you out.
today for example the cashier at food basics said I am sorry we don't take internet coupons. The ones I had were save.ca and websaver. I said yes you do check again she said no, the manager walked by she asked him and he said oh yes we do

Yes thats correct they do accept internet coupons. If they believe they are photocopied they may refuse thaem, but I have always used internet coupons at Rcss and NF and never ever had a problem. I am sorry to hear you are having problems. I would def. ask to speak to the manager next time.

They often tell me that they don't take them, but I always come back with "Can you check with management" and they always accept them. Never been refused.

I just found the phone number for the store I was at and spoke to someone who said they do accept them but she told me to go in tomorrow when the head cashier is there. Pisses me off when stores put the onus on the customer to do something when it's their lack of training - in this case on many levels - that is the problem.

Here are some steps to follow in this situation.
1) Very often cashiers don't know the coupon policy so go in knowing you will probably have to teach them.
2) Be polite if they don't want to accept them but stand your ground.
3) Ask for confirmation from the store manager on the policy
4) When the managment shows up still be ready to stand your ground and be polite. Let them know this is their coupon policy... look at their name tag and let them see you do it... ask them if they would like you to wait a few mins for them to call head office to confirm.
Some have even pulled out the head offices phone numbers and the coupon policy for management... but usually they know you know your stuff by the end of 4
5) USE ONLY VALID COUPONS ... don't try and sneek stuff thru. When that happens companies may not get the money back and every couponer will be waiting for 1-2 mins per coupon for them to read and reread every coupon from that point out.

I went to Paul's nofrills in Mississauga on Friday & was told they didn't take printable coupons even though I had used them there before. She told me to look @ the coupon policy posted on the door. It was dated June & said they do take printable coupons. She still wouldn't take them because she said that's what she was told & her manager was not in.
I then went to Rowe's nofrills on Britannia & Creditview & the girl said they didn't take them but she called the office & they told her they could.
It's frustrating, isn't it?

That's weird, I shop at Rowe's all the time and was there last night and had no issues using the Quantumatic Starter Kit printable coupon.
