Children's old clothing and toys!
I take my DD's old clothing to Once upon a child, such a rip off. Mom groups buy/sell, huge waste of time, people are interested, never get back to you.
So you box up all your crap, give it to Value village so some sucker makes money off you. So annoyed.
Or you could also give it to your ungrateful family members who never reciprocate anything. :evil:

Once Upon A Child is terrible! I took a box of 95% Gap and Gymboree there and they only offered me 40 bucks, went back a few days later to browse and one of the Gymboree jackets I had sold them was marked at 30.00, so much for we give you 30% of what we sell it for.Quote:

Or people who expect you to save all your baby stuff for them for years so they don't have to buy it when they decide to have a baby. Sorry but if you make the adult decision to have a baby make sure you can afford it(I'm well aware things happen and sometimes they aren't planned, but no one should EXPECT hand me downs).
Once upon a child jacked one of my VS Pink sweaters. It was in a box of stuff I had I said its not for sale and mysteriously it wasn`t in the box when I got it back.
I gave them a bunch of Carters stuff - snow suits, nice outfits, shes like oh yeah we give you more money if you have Gap items. LOL
Such scammers.
I don`t give any of my stuff to family because they have better paying jobs than I do LOL and I was the youngest out of all of them to have a kid.

I give my gently used items to the local church/parent group as they always know families who need those kind of items. THe only things that go to landfill or recycling in those that are destroyed totally...or underwear/swimsuits.Quote:

When everyone thinks they know better then you! My oldest son has developmental issues but we're not sure what yet. He was a late talker and struggled with proper speech. He was sent to speech therapy for a period of time, he has an IEP, his social skills were behind (although they have since improved), his reading skills are far behind what is expected of him, and I just learned today that the school wants to refer him to their speech-language pathologist. Now, having said all that, I have family members who think that I just worry too much and that there's nothing wrong (they think that because he talks a lot that he doesn't have speech issues) and on the other hand I have another family member who is convinced that he must have Aspergers, Autism, or Dyslexia. It's just...frustrating because I feel like no one except my husband and the school understands...and it's hard enough to deal with without being told that I'm worrying about nothing or being told by a non-professional that they are sure he has this disorder or that disorder.
I am getting so freaking POed at everyone asking for wild meat and or jerky. It's not freaking cheap! We have to pay for the licence and tags. Then you add in the time to do the hunting and fuel to get around. The physical effort of skinning, dressing and processing the animal. Plus the cost of a butcher. Then the hours put into the actual smoking of the jerky and the initial cost of the smoker( $450.00). No one offers to pay for anything.
I desperately needed a haircut, my regular stylist is on mat leave and since I haven't found a replacement yet, I stupidly went to the hair school figuring it can't be hard to follow a cut thats already done and just needs to be tidied up?. So I told them what I wanted, the same cut I have now, just tidy up the ends and make sure both sides are even and KEEP THE LENGTH. Well she cut my hair into a short something resembling a bob(never seen a bob where its longer in the back than in the front), didn't touch my bangs, didn't thin out my hair which is a necessity(its curly and thick), and when I mentioned this needed to be done to her teacher, she told me no it didn't and I have no idea what I'm talking about. My hair looks like a mushroom and I left the place in tears.
Luckily I was able to find a real salon that could fit me in tomorrow, but I'm not even sure this mess is fixable without shelling out a lot of money for extensions or getting a pixie cut.

My hair is very short and easy to do, but I learned my lesson about going to hair school for cuts years ago!
