My parents get them all the time from Chaters and the quality is usually pretty good, and the price is usually much cheaper than Chris Brothers. Also, they do up the orders on the spot (no need to call ahead). With Chaters, they usually remember who's a good repeat customer so if after a few orders you notice you don't eat a lot of Product A they will usually let you swap it out for more Product B or Product C (as long as it's a fair $ deal for you and them).
Best of luck!

Call around to your local farms in your area. Some of them will sell it to you fresh and at better than store prices. If I had a deep freeze, I would certainly do it (friends of ours buy their meat that way).

gateway meat mart, the little meat store right across from the panavista sobeys does up a big box full of meats of your choice, usually costs about 150-200 for whatever you want. just give them a call a week or so in advance. had good experience with them!

Don't buy freezer orders of meat, just have a fridge with a freezer on top. Try to buy meat/chicken as it goes on sale at Sobeys for half price and I stock up. I trust Sobeys, daughter's bf is a meat cutter there.

I order 1/2 side once a year and split it with my mother from a 'local' farm. Great beef!
I also stock up when chicken come son sale. Fish is bought only a couple of weeks in advance.
I have 2 smaller chest freezers, one for meat and bread, the other for premade (homemade) meals, cookies, muffins, etc.
