I am not bragging today about a shopping trip rather my DH and how he is catching onto the ways of the coupon! Lol. I tell him frequently about deals and things I find on SC and he seems to be learning and not even realising it. I told him I want to buy a peg board for my ever growing stockpile of razors etc. This is very much needed as my current storage area is too crammed and a peg board would make them way more accessible. I asked him to look at work, (he works at a local home improvement store). He replied that I should wait and get it this weekend at Canadian Tire as they would be similar in price to his store but I would get the scratch card prize (Tims CG or CT GC). I was in a bit of shock thinking that he caught that and I missed it. I will be using his idea and getting a bit extra for a purchase I plan on making anyways. Now if I could just get him to pick up coupons from tear pads, when he sees them, I would be set!

As an add on to this story he asked me this morning if I had any coupons for wraps to make his lunch. Silly question "do you have any coupons" but so happy he is thinking in advance of a shopping trip!

    UPDATE!!!!
So I took DH's advice. I got some pegs for the peg board at CT (+$3 Tims's Card). Got the board at HD and , the best part of my brag, put it up myself!!!! (fingers crossed that it holds ) So nice to clear out some of my under-the-sink stockpile, even though it did not seem to make a dent.

I am not sure but I am going to check. Even if they don't have the boards they should have the pegs so you can get those and get the GC and go to the ther store for the board.

I think I will be really impressed when he starts pointing out SDM points I BP offers I missed. I have seen the peg board used somehwere and it seems like a cool thing to org stuff like that. MY DH said he found a white one at his work for approx $8 and the pegs can be bought assorted for around the same price.

I don't have room for a peg board but what I am going to try is to stick those 3M hooks on the inside of the cabinet door and hang them on those. I already have tosn of those hooks.

We have a hunting camp... so when I go there I usually have stuff that ends up in the cupboards/drawers...ladies stuff.... NOW i have a board with nails works for me... just like a peg board... and no one even mentions it upon exiting the bathroom... b/c that is where my razors are etc.. If you can't afford actully peg board, a board and a few nails, works as well
Now at home I have a peg board,,, got it for nothing...(work related lol)

I never thought of something like that. Great idea! I would have had to buy the board for the nails so the cost for me would probably been the same. It is a great idea for those who already have the materials!

Looks great, I'm thinking about doing something like that in my own laundry room but I need to finish up the other 30 started projects in the house before I start another one, I'll be keeping my eye out in the off-cut section of RONA in the meantime

My DH works at HD and that is where I got that board was only $7.50. It is the pegs that cost more. I put mine in the laundry with the rest of the stockpile, behind closed doors. I am a closet stockpiler!
