Good for her - but, gee, the poor family of the victim, have to start with everything all over again to find out who did it...

Apparently a couple guys that are in jail now confessed to their inmates that they were the ones that killed the girl and that Amanda and her boyfriend were never there....very interesting case

Just makes me more weary of visiting another country. They always try to blame the outsiders.
Remember the Canadian women accused of killing in Mexico?

I was very glad to see this outcome; those two were absolutely persecuted by the Italian courts for a crime they did not commit.
Their investigation & evidence collection was absolutely horrifying and I cannot believe that they were ever found guilty in the first place.

I'm really glad they were acquitted. The more I've read about this case, the more unbelievable it is to me that they were charged in the first place.
It really makes me angry that so many people are still demonizing her. She's never going to be free of strangers shouting insults at her.

The charge of slander was upheld
The judge had upheld Miss Knox's conviction for slander after she accused bar owner Patrick Diya Lumumba of carrying out the killing. He set the sentence at three years, time that Miss Knox has already served.
Short answer : no Long answer : NOOOOOOOOOOO!

All I have to say is.....Nancy Grace makes me cringe. Cannot stand her, yet cannot. look. away.

Yes, he did. This was after changing his story several times. Initially he said they weren't there. One of his first stories was that Meredith let him in and while he was in the bathroom a complete stranger came in and killed her. He did not identify the stranger as Knox or her boyfriend (even though he knew Knox beforehand). One can only assume that when it looked like it was in his best interests to pin the murder on them, he did so. It seems to have worked because his sentence was reduced.
