My first Sobeys brag! and a small walmart brag

I went into sobeys today to scout the deals (I dont get the flyer) and maybe spot some good coupons....

I ended up in the clearance section and here is what I got:
4x purina max 10kg cat litter. reg 7.99 but they were in the clearance section and were not scanning at the cash. customer service gave them to me for 3.50 woot woot! = 14.00
6x gillette hair and body wash. 4.99 - 50% off = 2.49 - 2x 5.00 wub 3 = 4.94 for 6
2x Enfamil formula reg price 31.99 - 50% off 15.99 - 2x $5 OFF = 21.98 for 2 cans of formula!

total 37.42
tax 1.94 (this doesnt make sense to me can anyone explain?)
Total OOP: 39.36

Then off to walmart...I lost my receipt but here is what I got:
10x nexxus with overage -10.00
5x bush's beans .88 - 1.00 off = overage .60
margarine
mayonaise
duracell batteries
Total OOP was 5$ and change!

Tax is forsure on the gillette stuff, Not on baby stuff, And i don't think it is on the pet stuff.

I did the math and you are right...its just on the gillette...I didnt know pet supplies were tax free...
