I was not sure where to put this...sorry
I am out of ideas..what are some good cheap portable snack ideas that I can bring to work. An apple a day will make a girl go crazy. A banana a day will make me go bizerk.
I have breakfast and lunch at work, and I like to have 2 snacks as well.

Trail mix? Mixed Nuts? Dried fruit? Veggies with Dip? Crackers and cheese? Yogurt? Seasonal fruit (peaches, plums, nectarines, berries)?
I'm not very creative but those are my typical work snacks.

Cheese & crackers or PB & crackers
Make your own trail mix of things you like ex. choc chips, almonds, peanuts, cherrios or shreddies.
I also make my own jello or pudding snack in the small ziploc containers.
Popcorn with a sprinkle of cheese or seasoning.
When I get time and energetic, I chop up some fruit to small pieces (usually strawberries, blueberries, peaches, kiwi and pears) to make a small fruit salsa and than take some soft taco shells brush one side with melted butter, cut into pieces and than put in a bag of sugar/cinnamon to coat. Bake to make them crisp. I use the fruit salsa to dip the shells in....it's very yummy and can be changed for the season and what you like.
Hope some of these ideas help and I look forward to reading what other people snack on as I agree, it's nice to have a change.

I'll have to stroll around bulk barn and make my own trail mix.
Thank you for the ideas, please keep them coming.
The fruit salsa idea sounds amazing and I have some soft taco shells in the freezer right now. YUM.

I'll add this snack idea,Though it is not portable or especially cheap
Frozen strawberries
a splash of milk
artificial sweetner
vanilla extract
put in a blender and blend until it becomes the consistency of ice cream. Very very yummy and very low calorie. You can also use blue berries, banannas etc.
I eat this a lot and I feel like I'm having ice cream.

I've been making squares outta all the cereal I have bought for the $5 coupons. Just melt marsh mellows on low with a little margarine and add the cereal and any other lovely what not you have lying around your pantry, raisins, nuts, candies, etc. push down into a cake pan and let it cool.

Any cereal will do. I even melted the betty crocker icing a while back to drizzle over these treats. They go fast in my house with all the mouths I feed.

Popcorn (pop it at home if it's microwaveable if you don't want the whole office in search of the popcorn smell
)
sliced veggies (baby carrots, sliced celery, brocolli etc.)
Laughing cow cheese
Hard boiled egg
