The store is closing on July 31.

Lot of clearance deals to be had + Club Sobeys points

I think that's the only Sobeys store in Markham and even that's being closed ..maybe its being relocated or being converted to a Freshco or something.

Hmmmmm interesting information given yesterday when I was in the Aurora Sobey's my mom asked if they could order in some frozen cherries for her and was told there are big changes coming, good changes that at this time do not allow them to special order in anything due to on going changes.

Sobeys just bought Safeway for 5.8 billion dollar to get a strong foothold out West .

Maybe they are streamlining operations and that's where changes are coming from ..Maybe some Safeway stores in the East and more Sobeys & Freshco stores in the West

The Markham Sobey's is going to be converted to a Freshco. That's what an employee told me when a asked for a raincheck and she said they weren't sure if they were getting anymore of that item in stick. I'm excited to have a Freshco close by.
