I emptied the contents on the meat and when it was all cooked the meat to spud ratio was hilarious. DS said " oh no, don't apologize I love that much mashed potato on top "

I always use the boxes white cake mixes for pineapple upside down cake, they are so easy to make using a mix and come out so good! Enjoy yours!

yes, us too! We know of many families that just said screw all the work of a turkey feast at home and went out instead. Sure, chicken does not sub out perfectly for turkey in many people's eyes but the leftovers from roasting a big bird at home can sometimes feel like you're eating turkey " something " all week. Soup, hot sammies, stew.
Plus the conversations at the table were so enjoyable as none of us were running around screaming " we forgot the cranberry sauce! " lol.

just moseying about and read through the way you shop. I do the same when things are NOT on sale, I pass on them and wait for that great sale price to come around again. The baby cucumbers here are usually on sale somewhere ( NF, Freshco or WM ) but the stores often say " our trucks haven't come in yet " . Well I don't come back...lol. I'm still amazed at our spud prices compared to what my sis pays out West. The 10 lb. bag a couple weeks ago was .99 and now the pure white new spuds are only $1.77 for 10 lbs. They pay around $6.00 - $7.00 for 10 lbs. Crazy.

about that small folding chair, I was sure it was an error because why would you offer such a mini chair with a 6' tall sauna? No biggie, I could have gone back to check if they posted the dimensions of the chair and complained but it'd be too much effort on my part to bother. He just grabbed one of our camp chairs to use.

wow, your post was dead on! The one about having stuff you " store " at home when no longer using it. So tough to get rid of clothing for me too, finally accepted I will never fit into my tiny size 8 jeans ever again. So 2 weeks ago I cleared my entire close out, all bags given to Value Village ( included sizes from 8 - 22 ) all the ups and downs of gaining and losing weight over 20+ years. we live about 4 minutes away from a Swiss Chalet so paying for delivery is a waste. Their food is expensive enough. DS loves to order but feels bad ordering just for himself, so he offers us a meal each and we accept! lol

yes, even in the flyers this week Metro has the nerve to price their squashes at $1.69 a pound , while WM has it at $.064 a pound, FB at $0.98 a pound, and NF at $0.99 a pound. All over the map for prices. I will just continue to see who has the things I need priced lowest each week and hopefully go directly there or PM at NF. Strategies have changed greatly since the long gone days of snagging so many free items with coupons !
