sometimes my head explodes at how many things you have on the go in a day! You crocheting those 2 baskets did it for this morning. ha ha

my DH tells me that at work when he gets to his baby cucumbers in his dinner he places the end of one in his mouth and walks around asking co workers if they have a light! OMG, I asked him how old he was? lol

good morning! I wanted to take a quick moment to wish you ( and your Mom ) a very Happy and restful Christmas! You were wise to opt for a simpler
version for the festive dinner. Too much baking at this time of year can really cause illness brought on by stress. I normally shy away from slow cooker meals
because I am impatient, but about 45 minutes ago I got a batch going of Slow Cooker Chicken Curry, the recipe said 7 hours on low. We'll see what it looks like after 7 hours...lol

I feel your pain on defrosting that freezer. It is time consuming, but one of those chores that is so satisfying once you can load all the items back inside. It looks all fresh and organized again.

Just read your Christmas 2022 post. Our family is way past gift giving. The only ones DH and I buy for are our 3 adult kids and each other. There has been the odd gag gift given to my eldest sis as she has always been our 6th to holiday dinners. 2022 has been an awesome time to reconnect with another DS, BIL and 1 of their kids.

when I was still working delivering mail, I used to deliver my own street! Anyhow, the gal that delivered flyers at that time also lived on our street and I'd pass by her inside her garage all the time putting all the inserts together, so i KNOW they used to do that. Maybe our guy is lying to me and he really is the one that is supposed to get the entire bundle together. It is just so annoying that I toss out ALL the flyers except the 5 grocery ones I use. I NEVER waste my time even looking at the SDM or Cdn Tire ones, and naturally those 2 always come. Grrr! ha ha

I meant to add that it might be time to give these companies some free advertising with regards to their awful customer service

colour me shocked! If anyone had said " try Canadian Tire " for some Christmas ideas I would have laughed in their face....I've learned my lesson, next year I'll go there first! lol

just read how you used up a bell pepper than was on it's way out and made up a quickie pasta. I did the same with my chili. DH never cuts off the soft or brown spots on veggies, he takes one look at them and says it's bad. Knowing this, I trimmed the bad away from the red and green peppers, making certain the parts he and DS were going to be chopping were firm and good. He was none the wiser! ha ha

I had a little chuckle about your post saying with your German/Irish heritage you get nervous when the spuds are low. I'm married to a meat 'n potatoes guy and who's Ukrainian/East Coast? heritage, me Italian with bits of English/Irish/Scottish so spuds must always be under our sink....ha ha
These sales of 10 lbs. for $1.88 are too good to pass up.
