The No Frills by my house is closing on July 20. The store is a bit bare but I'm hoping that the last few days will have some amazing clearance deals. I'll keep you posted if there are some great finds.

I'll be back with details. I'm going to talk to the employees tonight and see what the deal is.

I couldn't get a straight answer because the cashier wasn't sure. I'm going to pop in every day this week. I'll post if I see a large clearance. It should be coming soon.

Hmm, how will people in that neighbourhood shop now? Go to the expensive Longo's on Bloor, or a longer trip to the Freshco on Parliament?

There is a Food Basics around the corner....Wellesley and Sherbourne. But I won't be venturing there alone....it's not the best area.

I remember going to that Food Basics once. Frustrating experience with the bus and then it was a tiny store that had nothing in it. Make sure you go during the day

Yeah for sure. I won't be traveling there at night time. Even during the day, I won't be going alone. It's funny because my BF's brother who's staying with us laughs at our ghetto areas. He's from NYC and always says 'you haven't seen ghetto.'

Apparently the 'Mr Jerk' across the street is supposed to have some of the best jerk chicken in the city....according to Toronto Life mag. I might stop and grab some on the way home from FB one day.

So it closes at 6pm this Saturday. I was talking to one of the cashiers and she thinks they will liquidate everything just a few hours before close. She wasn't 100% sure though. I saw the owner but he was busy being chatty with a bunch of people. So I couldn't get in there to talk to him.
