Smart Source Disappointment

Is it just me, or was anyone else disappointed in the coupons in yesterdays Smart Source? I guess it was good for those people who have babies! (My baby is 16 )

yes, I was disappointed, I don't use a dishwasher, I have no baby, my dogs eat special food, I'm too old for feminine products I can get those for my daughter, i'm sure she would appreciate it!! I liked the MIR for lysol, now I just need a coupon for when it goes on sale. I like Campbells, but the .50 coupon is for cream soup, I only eat Healthy Request, need some coupons for that OH well, maybe next month will be better for me. I was really excited to get it too, it was my first insert, kinda of anti-climax

with more people couponing I kinda thought the inserts would get better but I guess I am wrong, I wonder if the inserts are poor now to discourage people from couponing, I would think with coupons like this alot will not bother to find multiples and even less coupons will be redeemed, maybe thats what they are striving for. what do you think?

I think it just depends on who they focus on per issue. Its great for me because I have a 19month old, plus 2 other kids, we have a cat, and we have a dishwasher. I'm sure there will be issues that are absolutely useless for me though.

I think so too, but I heard the summer is bad for coupons, but spring and fall are the good coupon months. Those Smartsource coupons aren't gonna stop me from couponing!!!

my paper was stolen yet again from my lobby every insert week it is MIA yet next weekend and every non insert weekend you can bet your life it will sit there until I pick it up ... i went down right when I woke up at 7am no paper called NP and they say it was delivered told them this is the millionth time I have called about this problem and their carrier needs to BUZZ and I will let them in I have a mail slot in my apt door he can shove it through so no one steals my paper so sick of these pathetic people who steal papers and go to stores and steal inserts from the papers ... people have gone freakin mad over couponing like another coupon for that product will never come out and the sad thing is they probably steal so many coupons that they don't end up using them all anyway ... Where the heck have peoples morals and brains gone? I was raised not to steal, lie, cheat, hurt others ect ect ... did these peoples parents fail to raise them right? doubtful I think some people are just plain ignorant and when I PAY for my paper to be delivered to my home i certainly DONT expect it to be STOLEN by some coupon crazed theif ... sorry to go off not directed at anyone here I am just so tired of this its been going on for well over 2 months now and I tell you next weekend I am going to go down there at 4am and sit out of sight and wait for this coupon theif and when they take my paper I am going to call the flippin police and have them charged with theift under 1000.00 .... is a criminal record really worth stealing a newspaper for some coupons are you really that CHEAP you cannot go buy a 2.00 paper if you really want those coupons ... these people need to get a grip seriously

I hear ya! It is 100% insane to hear flyers are being stolen from mailboxes, and entire binders full right out of shopping carts! It can get hard to remember there are more good people than bad- I find myself glaring at anyone who approaches near me -who are probably totally innocent-just doing their shopping. Just hearing the stories on here has made me more aware of theft of things I never thought worth stealing. I try now to just keep the dirty look to the inside of my face, -but its ready should anyone try and pull a fast one!
I have a feeling couponers are watching each others backs too. We might not know one another but noone who knows what couponing is about would be silent and watch some JERK rip off someone's stuff and not shout out.

Opps- forgot to mention I was somewhat disappointed with the SS too. I did clip the busy bone for my dog, the rest is not worth keeping. I usually just leave those unwanted ones near the products for others to take if they want. Thank God my diaper aisle days are over- except for 1 child still requiring goodnights. Cream soup is not something we use and for the life of me, I do not understand why Febreze and Glade seem so popular. It can't be good to be spraying the hell out of our air. ~No, I'm not a hippy : )~
Oh well, maybe next month will have something better.

I was disappointed to even with 3 (6month old triplets) the coupons are not as good as ordering from DIAPER DIRECT. you pay $42 for 240 diapers and its the Teddy's kind. they are really good. Huggies and pampers doesn't come down low enough to be worth anything and again NO DISHWASHER. I have only been couponing for about 1 month and I have been VERY disappointed with all the inserts received to date. Better luck with internet sites and printables

In our Smartsource flyer today(West) we had a save .50 coupon on Campbells condensed soup(back on flyer). I think that's a pretty good deal especially when they go on sale.

The soup and dishwashing ones are the only ones I could put use too. I'm still undecided weather i should go get some. Candymom and saveoneverything, i understand you 2. I keep a close eye a=on my binder too. If i were somewhere and saw someone taking someone elses stuff i would yel at them.

I was disappointed too. I just kept the busy rawhide and the one Kotex. I was going to keep the soup, but I sent it in a trade because I needed other coupons more It still didn't find this to be as bad as the last Red Plum. I didn't keep one coupon from that insert!
