Thread: Great deal on Windows 7 laptop
-
Mon, Jul 29th, 2013, 07:03 PM #1
In my line of work, I have old programs that don't work on Windows 8, thus I needed a Windows 7 PC.
I got an amazing deal on one with Intel 7 from NewEgg!! It is priced $100 higher at future shop, and about the same price from retailers in the US.
NewEgg is proving to be a great place to get some really nice deals, and I am thrilled! Yahoo!!

That looks good! Don't you just hate it when companies do that to us?? (re: old software not working on updated os)
I still like my Acer though, almost two years and still looks brand new! Google!!"Expecto Patronum!" - Harry Potter

Looks new? Well isn't that wonderful!
Yes it ticks me off when they come out with these enw operating systems that are not actually better. Glad I got this great deal.
I cannot wait until the day I don't need new stinking laptop for my stuff anymore! Yahoo!!

Yup! I learned my lesson from my old laptop. You should've seen the state that one was in when it was finally time for me to replace it - spilled gatorade onto it, dvd drive falling out, and terribly slow (it was also left on every single day). I don't want to have to deal with a slow laptop again. Unfortunately the computers at my school have slow boot up times too (about 10 min to start, 5 min to log in). Ah well...
The trick is to use external wireless keyboard and mice! And connect to a 32" monitor via hdmi.Last edited by padfoot; Tue, Jul 30th, 2013 at 07:40 AM.

That's great!
Son was in the same boat recently when his old laptop (he got it used) died, and he didn't want windows 8.
He found an Acer laptop on clearance at WM for just over 300 - darned thing has over 17" screen and is just beautiful (wish I had one!).

That is a great price! My son's laptop is on the fritz and hoping to get him a new one with the back to school deals next month (or buy myself a new one and give him my old one)

Her name is actually Kathryn, and nope she's a blonde, but she loves dying her hair crazy colours; like during our last few weeks she dyed it purple and pink! It was different for a "professional" professor at a college. But she was one of the best teachers we've had so far.

Purple? IT's been scientifically proven that women who wear purple are more responsive to 'Funny hands'. I performed the experiment.
