That was a typo for sure
I remember tagging along as a kid with a friend's family when they went school supply shopping one August. They went to Wilson stationers at the mall, and bought Laurentien pencil crayons for $7.49 a package for their two daughters. Even as an 11-year-old girl, I was shocked... their other supplies were similarly overpriced. I remember suggesting to their mother that they should go to Superstore and buy the same stuff for less than half the price. (I think I was a deal-hunter even then! I used to love the coupons for cheap school supplies that Superstore used to have!) The mother said something about being able to afford stationery store prices. That surprised me, as I had always thought of my friend's family as being less well off and even a bit red-necky compared to mine!
It probably made her feel better to pay the higher prices. Alot of people think only poor people deal hunt and coupon. I think even if you can afford something you should still look for the best deal. Just my opinion
I just bought my DS's supplies for Grade 2 yesterday. We went to Walmart, and I really didn't have time or inclination to shop around (we don't have a car), thought that was our best bet. We paid $75 for the stuff, and that wasn't even all of it, there were a few things I couldn't find there!
